2011 was the year that was not so lucky Research In Motion (RIM). Many pessimistic analysis always remark on the sustainability of RIM in 2012.

In November, RIM suffered huge losses because the Blackberry Playbook does not sell well in the global marketplace, It is more due to losing in competition with iPad and Android tablet. Sales figures, ranging from 500,000 units in the first quarter of 2011, then 200,000 units in the second quarter of 2011, and only 150,000 units in the third quarter of 2011. Android Competitors Will Increase in 2011

Android growth has been so phenomenal, but so too has the number of related devices launched with different hardware and software specifications … This has led to the perception of fragmented markets as a platform, although we believe that growth will continues to rise and make the upgrade version of OS Android slow slightly .

BlackBerry World

After some time ago word got out Rim will change its name. Because at this time a celebration of great names RIM has changed its name to the BlackBerry World, in this pickle will be discussed the same thing as in the event WES (Wireless Enterprise Symposium) in advance. In the event the BlackBerry World is a conference similar to the WES but with his new name “BlackBerry World”.

The past few months has seen incredible action in the Research In Motion’s Blackberry camp, with a number of phones being slated to release in the coming months. The action though, is showing no signs of slowing down because of the announcement of another launch from Blackberry. The new Blackberry Torch 9800 is being billed as the best Blackberry phone of all time and a look at the specifications of this phone does not throw doubt into that judgement.

The Blackberry Torch 9800 offers a shift away from the usual ‘bar’ phone styling of the Blackberry phones. This is because the entire face of the phone is now being taken up by the huge 3.2 inch touch screen display that will make most tablets and netbook screens hide in shame. This is because it has one of the highest resolutions that could possibly be achieved in a mobile phone screen. The phone though, does not lose the Blackberry phone’s best feature, a full QWERTY keyboard. The keyboard works in a sliding mechanism and comes out from the screen in a portrait mode.

One can also use the full QWERTY keyboard that appears in the touch screen. The phone has a 5 megapixel camera. Though this might not sound much, with options like image stabilization, flash, video recording and 11 scene modes this really is a camera that can challenge the likes of standalone digital cameras. Usual connectivity features like the 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are also seen in this phone. An 8 GB memory card comes included in the package to supplement the 512 MB of memory already present. Even this 8 GB memory can be increased to 32 GB using micro-SD cards.

The phone will be launched in the UK markets in a few days’ time sporting a price tag of £30/month from some mobile phone comparison websites.
